In-home baking class with local expert
loKal’s very own Mike Simmons owned, and operated a wholesale and retail scratch bakery in the heart of Lancaster County for 20 years. Over that time, Mike developed literally hundreds of signature recipes across all classes of baking – from pies to cakes to cookies to breads, tortes, cheesecakes and more.
As we head into fall and toward the holidays, it’s Mike’s favorite time to create the smells and tastes of the season that take you back to times past. We’ll have a clinic on pie crust – from rolling to fluting, and make a pie for you to take along. We’ll also whip up a few other personal favorites for you to take and to brag about. You might not be a baking expert when you leave, but you will know enough to wow your friends and family. You’ll have the chance to ask any and all of your baking questions, and you’ll depart with a bunch of goodies, a head full of new baking knowledge, and most importantly, a newly created memory of a great experience.

This is approximately a two and a half hour experience. While the total time is fairly predictable, baking, prep, and cooling times may vary slightly. If you don’t see a time , please email me.
