“Michelle McGinnis is a marvelous instructor - I had an enriching and wonderful experience in attending her Instructed abstract art session of painting a landscape (image attached) She was working along with me all the time and suggesting corrections as needed and from the beginning she gave me the belief that the landscape can be done - albeit looked daunting when I first saw it She broke down hands on techniques such as moving the brush by swinging the wrist, mixing colors, making sure the portrait is not wet and obfuscates the layers ; using the sponge effectively for 🍁; She opened my 👀 to look at the various layers of colors in any object Additionally she was hospitable to get me complimentary coffee from the cafe. It was very much needed since it tickled my brain cells a lot!! What more I would also feature in the pages of the Lancaster times since there was a coverage by the local reporters and they wanted to do a feature on the art sessions in the cafe; so was a lucky day indeed - tabloid coverage included too :) She was very friendly to my daughter and also gave her a canvas to do a bit of painting ; I could not have asked for more - forgot myself for the 2 and half hours and I got into virtually a different world ; I’m now seeing a lot of colors and angles in all the objects around me. I love this world of abstract art; lastly not to forget the complimentary salad I got :) Thanks Michelle”
